QUILLEN, Martha Jane HALL, daughter of the late Preston and Alice Hall was born at Seco, KY on October 19, 1908. She passed from this life at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital on Aug 16, 1988 making her stay here on earth 79 years, 9 months and 27 days. Martha married Henry H. Quillen at Whitesburg, KY on Jul 24, 1923. He preceded her in death on Jan 8, 1973. Also preceding her in death were one son, one daughter, three brothers and three sisters. She has been in poor health for some years and seriously ill since May 1988. Martha is survived by one son: Delmer Quillen of Kona, KY; daughters: Danola Potter and Nellean Bentley both of Neon, KY; Netta Quillen of Jackhorn, KY; Hattie Tackett of Myra, KY; Hedy Anne Potter of Brook Park, Ohio; step-sons: Monroe and Daniel Quillen both of Neon, KY; step-daughter: Maggie Hughes of Dallas, Texas; half brothers: Thurman, Ronald, Glen and Harold; half sisters: Donna and Rita. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. |
