    • Much confusion has been generated regarding the proper relationships of the two men named Isham Hall who married Mullins women. ISHAM HALL SR. (b. 1746, d. ??) was the son of THOMAS AND MARTHA (BOLLING) HALL. He married MARY JANE MULLINS (b. 1748, d. 1826), a daughter of WILLIAM M. AND KATHERINE ELIZABETH (VARNER) MULLINS. They lived in the Magotty Creek area of Franklin County, VA. They were married about 1766.

      ISHAM HALL JR. (b. 1780, d. 1858) was the son of ISHAM AND MARY JANE (MULLINS) HALL. ISHAM JR. married JANE MULLINS (b. abt1792, d. aft1870). She was a daughter of JOHN WESLEY AND VIRGINIA (BAILEY) MULLINS. They were married in Russell County, Virginia in 1818. They lived out their lives in the Indian Creek area of Russell that later became Wise County, VA.
