  • Notes 
    • Owen and Ellen lived on Big Mud Creek, Floyd County, Ky, some 25 milesfrom Herold, KY, the nearest Rail Road Station for about 35 years.

      After his wife Ellen died of Stomache Cancer (sometime in the late1920's), Owen moved to Louisa, KY, to live with his brother Wilburn.

      About two or three years later, he met then met Alice Moore Miles, thewidow of Ben Miles, and step mother to Belle Miles, Wilburn's wife.

      They lived in Louisa until August 6, 1949, at which time Owen had astroke and died.

      His remains were taken to the Hall Cemetery in Floyd County, KY, by theCurtwright Mortuary, where he was burried beside his wife Ellen and theirdaughter Fannie.

      Alice later married for the third time to a man (name Unknown) and waslater commited to the State Mental Hospital in Lexington, KY.

      what happened to her and her whereabouts after that are still unknown atthis time.
