  • Notes 
    • They reared their family about a mile east of Blackey, Letcher County,Kentucky on the Kentucky River. Late in his life, both legs wereamputated above the knees due to a disease then called "white swelling"or diabetes. After the death of Stephen and Cynthia all of their boysmoved to Texas and never returned. Copy from Perry County records:"married in 1836, Perry County by Hiram Hogg J.P., Stephen and Cynthia".This Hiram was Stephen and Sarah Williams Hogg's son. In 1843 PerryCounty divided into Perry and Letcher.
