      "Will of BARNARD FRANKLIN. Son Jeramiah 1 Negro boy named Westley & $200 in cash; son Barnard 1 Negro boy named Joseph & $200 in cash; son Jesse Negro boy Bryson & $100 in cash (has already recd $125 in cash); son Abmer $100 in cash (has already recd Negro boy named Absolum); son Shadrick $225 in cash (I have already given Negro boy named Henry); dau. Mary NULL [sic] $225 in cash (have already given Negro girl named Caty); son Meshack Negro girl named Feraby (have already given $225 in cash); son Abednigo, have given $200 in cash; gr-children, son and daus. (not named) of my son Abednigo I leave Negro girl named Mourning and $25, share equally, they represent their father as if living; friend Mary HARVEY. I leave 1 feather bed & furniture to her & her heirs & Negro boy called Ambrose & aty her decease my exrs. sell Negro boy and divide among children and grandchildren. Remaining Negroes not willed to be placed in 8 equal lots and drawn from by my children or sold and proceeds divided. All property real and personal sold and equally divided among surviving children and grandchildren. Upon death of any of my children, their children to receive parent's share.       "Indenture 6 Feb 1764 between LAWRENCE FRANKLYN SENR., and MARY, his wife, of Orange County, and BERNARD FRANKLYN, leather breeches maker of County of Albemarle .. for L/ 25 .. sell tract in Orange County patented by Lawrence Franklyn and contained 400 acres, 100 thereof sold to Alexander Cleeveland Senr., and 100 to Benja. Franklyn, and the other 200 now to Bernard Franklyn..
